This year in Brockville was a difficult one but there were definite positives. The biggest one being a $3500 donation from Fireballs which is absolutely amazing!!
We want to thank EVERYONE that helped with this tournament. There were 16 teams and in the end Molson Muscle won the A Championship and Muff n' Men won the B.
Thank you to all of the teams that participated. We look forward to getting this tournament back to what you expect from us next time out.
Once again Brockville was a huge success for us. Fifteen teams took the field and played hard while in the spirit of why we were there. Saturday's skills comps were very well attended for two solid hours.
On Sunday we had the pleasure of hearing from Tracy Villineuve and Lisa Gibson who really helped explain what life is like with Autism. As always, for us, it was the hi-lite of the weekend.
We want to send a shout out to Turtle and Stewy for keeping the diamonds in prime condition for us and to Josh Lebrun for all of your help in the tent and at the skills comps. We also want to thank all of the volunteer umpires and each and every player that helped to make it a success. One last shout out goes to Fireballs, who as a team brought in $1047 in donations. Fantastic job!!
On the diamonds Seguin Masonary defeated the #2 team in the semis and then the top ranked Orange Crush in the finals to take the B championship. In the A finals Ball Busters were crowned champions after Beer Money Bears suffered two serious injuries and were unable to continue. Congratulations to our champions and to all of the teams!! It was a blast!!
